Reports reveal that more than 17,000 households bought homes under the government’s Help to Buy scheme in its first nine months.
Help to buy has seen not only an impressive response from purchasers, but also an increase in house builders returning to the new homes construction market.
The Government will be encouraged by the response from first time buyers as 88% of the 17,395 purchases were from first-time buyers.
According to the government’s figures, 77% of homes bought under the scheme as a whole were outside London and the South East and the average value of a property bought through the initiative was £194,992.
Almost 15,000 of the 17,395 homes bought through Help to Buy were done with the equity loan scheme, the first phase of the Help to Buy, which is available specifically on New Build homes.
Ryder and Dutton currently have thirteen developments all available with Help to Buy equity loan scheme.
